Normar (Conventional) AC vs Inverter AC

Factors Conventional AC Inverter AC
Electric Current Operates purely on alternating current (AC) Initial supply of alternating current is converted to direct current and back to alternating current at the required frequency
Running of Compressor The compressor operates in cycles. It cuts off when the room temperature reaches the level set on the thermostat. It restarts when the room temperature rises. The compressor is continuously in operation. However, once the desired temperature has been achieved, it operates at minimum power merely to maintain that temperature
Power Consumption When the compressor is in operation it always runs at 100% of its capacity. Consumes More Power The compressor runs at 100% capacity only when switched on until the pre-set temperature has been reached. Thereafter, it consumes only the minimum power required to maintain that temperature
